The past 1½ month
I have been working on a
part-time software development contract
for a startup and have not really
had the time nor energy
to dive into my own projects,
which I really miss.
This makes me want to try
to restructure my time:
cut away late evening
activities, in order to
find time for own work.
The goal is to start to sleep
between 20:30 and 21:30.
This will yield some morning
work hours, at the tradeoff
of leaving social events early,
and not having evening.
The approximate schedule
that I want to try out is:
5am-9am
work own projects (directly from waking up)
short exercise/meditation or
sometimes yoga / morning-beach-sunrise
10am-5pm
work on startup
6pm-8pm
off / social / dining / dancing
9pm-5am
sleep
This is quite a tight schedule,
but it should be doable..
I guess the key should be
to make it a regular rhythm.
It also means going more out to eat,
to save time.
It might also help to have a plan
for easy social dinner, and not-too-late
regular weekly possibilities:
